Mika Karppinen
PRACTICE AND EXPERIENCE
Mika specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration especially in the field of construction and real estate related matters, as well as general commercial disputes and insolvency issues.
Mika regularly advises and represents contractors, builders, and building consultants in on-going building projects and disputes related to major construction projects, such as claims regarding additional and alteration works, liability for delay, and defects in construction works. Mika has special expertise in disputes related to infra sector, indoor air and microbe damages, and project management contract agreements.
Mika has advised and represented clients in a number of varying business disputes, including matters concerning lease agreements (renovation, rent adjustments etc.), squeeze-outs, real estate transactions, delivery and supply agreements, procurement, and director liability.
In addition, Mika has extensive experience in advising debtors and creditors in bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, and he regularly represents clients in insolvency proceedings and insolvency-related disputes.
